The aims and objectives of the Bangladesh Geographical Society are to collect and disseminate geographical knowledge and information by research. discussion, lectures. conferences, exhibitions. field works and publications pertaining to all countries in general and Bangladesh in particular. The Society with its headquarters in Dhaka, the capital of the country, will engage in and promote activities for undertaking geographical studies on Bangladesh by initiating research. and organizing field work and excursions with a view to collecting basic facts. appraisals of natural resources, geographical aspects. population studies. natural hazards and environmental issues and land utilization problems. Membership is open to all who share the objectives of the Society.
